Full-length portrait of Albert Edward Prince of Wales (later Edward VII), in India and wearing military uniform, standing, turned and facing to the left, resting right arm on the saddle of a charger and holding a sword in the left hand. Albert Edward's uniform is decorated with various medals and insignia. In the background is an Indian cavalry regiment, and to the left is an elephant.
