A South Persian carpet, probably woven by a Qashqai or Luri artisan. The bright red field contains three prominent diamond-shaped medallions and the entire carpet is filled with abstract symbols representing flora and fauna and iconography denoting good luck. A beautiful, naively drawn orange border frames the field.
