A South Persian carpet, possibly woven by a Qashqai artisan. The field is woven with soft camel coloured wool and is overlaid with fifteen rows of beautiful paisley ‘boteh’. Note the last two rows of ‘boteh’ motifs with beautiful nomadic asymmetry compared to the other fifteen rows, show a distinctive nomadic touch. The central panel is framed by an elegant mountain peak border.
