A wild nomadic East Anatolian ‘Yuruk’ Kurdish carpet. The central panel is filled with a deep madder and cochineal pink dyed wool, overlaid with a vertical axis of three diamond-shaped medallions. A beautiful ivory white major border frames the field and is filled with an interconnected vine of abstract flowers. The carpet shape is endearingly uneven, likely representing the work done over various nomadic migrating seasons.
