Ancient geographical map with the Empire of the Great Mogul (current India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh and Ceylon) published in Venice by Giambattista Albrizzi within the fourth volume of Lo Stato presente di tutti i Paesi e Popoli del Mondo naturale, politico, e morale dedicated to the Kingdoms of South Asia and in particular to the vast domain of the Great Mogul. The map derives from the one published in Amsterdam by Isaak Tirion.
The map is copper plate engraving with hand-coloring and showing towns and cities and neighboring kingdoms. The Mughal Empire is conventionally said to have been founded in 1526 by Babur, a warrior chieftain from what today is Uzbekistan.
