A South Persian carpet, probably woven by a Qashqai artisan. The composition shows a diamond shaped central pool with trees of life extending out from the top and bottom tips of the diamond. Numerous zoomorphic and good luck icons are scattered randomly over the ivory field. A colourful reciprocal double mountain peaks border frames the carpet.
