An Anatolian yastik or pillow cover from the Konya region of Central Turkey. The weaving has been done in extremely soft wool using bright colours popular with weavers in that area. The central axis contains two full and two half diamond medallions filled with talismanic icons for luck and protection from evil. The field is surrounded by two narrow borders decorated with numerous floral elements.

The carpet has a lining measuring 43.5 x 23 in (110.5 x 58.5 cm)
