A South Persian horse blanket, probably woven by a Bakhtiari artisan. The weaving is a flatwoven textile, woven in two halves that have been stitched together along the middle spine, and on which wool knots have been inserted and embroidery performed to decorate the surface with numerous ethnographic icons. Colourful long tassels have been attached to both sides of the weaving to swing while the horse is trotting.
