A pair of bagfaces woven by a Kurdish artisan from Northwest Persia. Referred to as khorjin , these mule or donkey bags are used to carry nomadic items during the seasonal migrations. The square panel of each bag is woven with a large flower in the centre, flanked by smaller flowers in the field, and stacked with a rectangular panel containing two crab icons.
