A South Persian carpet woven by a Khamseh artisan. The field depicts three dominant connected diamond shaped central pools growing out of the earth and climbing up through the sky into the heavens above. The diamonds and the field are all filled with floral
and zoomorphic icons with extensive usage of winged creatures potentially representing chickens.
The carpet has a lining measuring 68.5 x55.8 in (174 x 141.9 cm)
