An unusual South Persian carpet, probably woven by a Bakhtiari artisan with Kurdish influence. The object is meant to be made into a large bag or used as a small seating mat for honoured guests. The composition is divided into two horizontal panels, one containing two large diamonds and the other containing a group of flora and talismanic iconography.
