A South Persian carpet, probably woven by a Qashqai artisan. The composition shows a naïve mina khani drawing with nine large flowers arranged in a lattice format on a deeply abrashed indigo field. The wide border is knotted with undyed ivory wool and filled with leaf and rosette groups in alternating directions.
