A South Persian carpet, probably woven by a Bakhtiari artisan. The composition shows a mirror image formation where the imaginary horizontal central axis divides the field into two identical but inverted mirror images of the corresponding opposite side. The iconography is primarily flowers and talismanic icons in bright joyful colours . A simple narrow reciprocal sawtooth border frames the carpet.
