A beautiful Caucasian carpet from the Shusha area in the Karabagh region. The bold silhouette of a red pole is drawn on the central vertical axis indented with five hollow diamond shapes. The entire abrashed indigo field is dotted with hundreds of flowers in full bloom and flowers are also woven into the diamond areas of the pole, giving the optical illusion of the pole floating on a field of flowers. A single narrow border with talismanic icons and flowers frames the carpet.
