A Kurdish carpet from the Caucasian region. The carpet is a delightful amalgamation of various animals, flowers and talismanic elements drawn in naïve asymmetry and large scale. Of particular note are three large camels drawn In the centre of the field. The beautiful drawing is framed with a major border of the running dog or wave icons, flanked by two minor barberpole borders.
