A Kurdish long carpet from the Caucasian region. The field contains diagonal rows of diamonds with bird heads inscribed around the perimeter of each diamond. Two borders frame the field, one with the classic leaf and calyx design and the other filled with abstract stars. A very unusual extra minor border has been woven at the top end and filled with quartered diamonds
