pp 21; 35 full-page tipped plates, twenty-seven in colours with tissue guards carrying extensive commentaries; 8 small black and white tipped-in plates based on Chughtai's line drawings in the Introduction. The text also has one-page note by Chughtai and one-page note by the publisher; bound in black buckram with a black and white line drawing and the title-ticket pasted on cover.

A fine copy with a scratched presentation inscription on front endpaper and a tiny library stamp on back of title-page [Hertfordshire County Library]. No other markings.

pp 24 + 39 tipped-in plates with tissue guards carrying the title; slate-grey paper-covered boards with title-ticket pasted on cover and only the front portion of the dustjacket loosely inserted.
