This kedia has beautiful embroidery work from Sadu Bharat from Surendranagar Saurashtra region. It is a young boy’s garment to be worn for a marriage ceremony. The Bharvad, Rabadis, and Ahhirs communities continue to wear them. This kedia has beautiful work and holds sentimental value for Mallika Sarabhai; she wore it as a child as did both her children.
Condition
The lot is in good condition with sporadic wear and tear, stains and colour bleed commensurate with age and usage
