Delhi Crafts Council is non-profit working for the promotion and development of traditional artisans and craft skills in a contemporary environment.
These works are from an Exhibition, Sanjhi Revisited, which was specially created in 2017 to mark the golden jubilee of Delhi Crafts Council. Sanjhi is the traditional art of making floor patterns or rangoli, using coloured powder to make designs with the help of hand cut paper stencils. This art is practiced mainly in Mathura in Uttar Pradesh. The exhibition was based entirely on new artworks based on the theme of architecture and architectural decorations. The Agra Vase design by Ram Soni is inspired by wall paintings traditionally done on the walls of palaces in Rajasthan.
