Signed by Governor of Bombay Sir Bartle Frere and presented to Khan Bahadur Puddumjee Pestonjee dated 22nd August 1864.
Albumen prints mounted on card and captioned in pencil on mounts in the same unknown hand, one per page on 65 pages and mounted on recto only. Size of each photograph varying between 9.5 x 11.5 in (24.3 x 29.2 cm), 10 x 14.25 in (25.5 x 36 cm) and 10.25 x 15.5 in (26.2 x 39.5 cm). Album size: 15 x 20.75 x 2.75 in (38.2 x 53 x 7 cm). Mount Size: 14.5 x 19.75 in (37 x 50 cm). Contemporary dark brown lather bound with decorative gold tooling to the covers and the title “Views of India” and “Shepherd Robertson Bourne” at the spine with six raised bands. All edges gilt.
