Set of two Albums on India and Ceylon
a) Album titled Feb 24th to May 9th, 1891, India. Calcutta with albumen prints mounted on card and captioned in black and red ink on mounts in the same unknown hand, a total of forty photographs with one per page on 20 pages and mounted back-to-back. Size of each photograph varying between 7.25 x 9.25 in (18.7 x 23.5 cm) to 8.25 x 11 in (20.9 x 28.2 cm). Album size: 12.5 x 17 x 1.5 in (31.5 x 43 x 3.5 cm) Mount Size: 11.75 x 15.25 in (29.6 x 39 cm). Later half leather bound with marbled boards with four raised bands and gilt title text on the spine.
The images, grouped by location, generally show architectural and scenic views. Images include scenes from Calcutta (3), Darjeeling (2), Benaras (4), Lucknow (8), Cawnpore (4), Gwalior (2), Agra including views of Taj (15).

Album size: 31.5 x 43 x 2.7 cm. Mount Size: 29.6 x 39 cm. Later half leather bound with marbled boards with four raised bands and gilt title text on the spine.
