Sinha [1909-1992] was an Indian revolutionary and member of Hindustan Socialist Republican Association. Convicted In the Lahore Conspiracy Case in 1930, he was transported to the Andaman jail for 9 Years until released on medical grounds when he had this book published privately in Kanpur which was his hometown. This book presents an account of Andamans Jail. He was again detained by the British from 1941 to 1945. After Independence he joined the Communist Party of India.
