This beautiful rare hand coloured map of Northern India by Thomson and engraved by Samuel John Neele depicts India and Nepal. It Extends from Persia to Tibet and Berar in the Southern portion. The scarcity of this map is attributed to the fact it has impressive details of roads, mountain passes, and residences of important Lamas at the time when very few western travellers had access to Nepal and Tibet. The map has an inset map of Kabul on the top right hand corner.

This extremely rare hand coloured map of South India by Thomson and engraved by Samuel John Neele extends from Aurangabad to Ceylon This highly detailed map shows provinces, town, roads, rivers, lakes, mountains, islands etc. Various areas controlled by British, Nabob of Oudh, Berar, Nizam, Mysore, Mahrattas, Travancore and Candy are depicted in various coded colours.
