Illustrated by F Sangorski and G Sutcliffe. Translated into English verse by Edward Fitzerald. Sangorski and Sutcliffe's interpretations of the Rubaiyat are justly famous and among their most important work. The pair are better known as the founders of the eponymous firm of bookbinders established in London in 1901, considered to be one of the most important bookbinding companies of the twentieth century.
