These photographs are pasted on 7 sheets back to back, and covering the events held between 1880 and 1891, show the humorous side of British pastimes such as polo, cricket, fox-hunting, pigsticking, racing, golf, etc. in Bombay, Poona, and Nasik.

Though not mentioned here, the caricatures were drawn by F C Macrae, who also illustrated numerous other British India-related books, notably 'Behind the Bungalow" by EHA and "Hotch-Potch and Kedgeree" by Sir Allan Arthur.
