Detailed map of the Upper Indian provinces, extending to Tibet in the North and the Bay of Bengal in the South. The map was drawn by James Rennell F.R.S., Surveyor General of India, and engraved from the original drawing. The map includes a great amount of detail and shows roads and military outposts.

William Faden (1750-1836) took over and continued the business of Thomas Jeffrys in 1771, trading as Faden & Jeffrys and producing excellent maps well into the nineteenth century. He was particularly interested in the mapping of North America for which he was as well known as his predecessor. He also issued many special collections of regional large scale maps prepared for customers' individual requirements.
