Fascinating, witty and genially written, the book is illustrated by an engraved frontispiece portrait of Shaw, and 22 sepia-toned photographs from various periods in his life. The book was written when Shaw was in his nineties. This is the First Trade Edition, issued by Constable and Company in 1949.
