CONDITION: Original slate grey thick-paper cover [showing a laughing toad enjoying rain of tears] is ragged with a thimble-size blank area of the cover and title page nibbled away at bottom. There are pinholes, mostly along about 3 inches wide vertical area on the left of the book, but largely sparing the images and not detracting where they do occur.
One of the 3 books of caricatures making fun of the Bengal society's mores, customs and lifestyle influenced by the British which Gaganendranath Tagore published in his lifetime. The other two were ADVUT LOK [sold by StoryLtd in April 2017 for Rs 1 million] and REFORM SCREAMS.
