Signed copy of a murder mystery Princess Gayatri Devi of Cooch Behar [later Maharani of Jaipur] was reading at the age of 17.

Signed on the flyleaf thus: "Gayatri of Cooch Behar (Ayesha) 1936".

While one does come across her memoir signed as presentation copies, this is a book the most beautiful royal of India possessed and signed under her rare maiden name, with her pet name Ayesha added by her in brackets. She married in 1940.
