The book is divided into two parts:
Part I titled "British India and the Punjab" containing 13 lithographs along with descriptive text for each plate.

Part II titled "Kashmir and the AlpinePunjab" containing 13 lithographs along with descriptive text for each plate.

The plates are mostly landscapes, but also include portraits of the Maharajah Dulip Singh, Rajah Lal Sing, Gulab Singh, and Sheik Imam-ud-Din Runjur Singh. The workswere drawn on stone by J.D.Harding, from the original drawings, by the Honourable Charles Stewart Hardinge.

Hardinge was present in India in 1845 when the Sikh army crossed the Sutlej and invaded British territory. He served as private secretary to his father, Sir Henry Hardinge, first Viscount of Lahore, who was Governor-General of India at the time.

This lot will be sold in "as is" condition.
There may be some minor tears/creases scratches, or holes commensurate with age that may not be visible in the images.
