This deluxe edition in 2 volumes features the Museum's unique collection of printed and painted cotton fabrics generally known as chintz. The text for the English edition is from "Indian Painted and PrintedFabrics" by John Irwin and Margaret Hall, 1971, and "Indian Pigment Paintings on Cloth" by Kalyan Krishna and Kay Talwar, 1979, which are Volumes I & III in the series 'Historic Textiles of India at the Calico Museum'.
