The Gond tribe is spread largely through Chhatisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and some neighbouring areas. These paintings were created on the walls of their dwellings, but nowadays, they make it on paper and canvas for commercial purposes. The subject of these paintings are mostly to do with nature. This style has a striking resemblance to Australian aboriginal art.
