Based on Hindi writer Phanishwarnath Renu’s “Mare Gaye Gulfam”, Teesri Kasam was directed by Basu Bhattacharya in 1966 and starred Raj Kapoor and Waheeda Rehman. It follows the story of a villager who befriends a dancer, and must come to terms with her past and who she is.

Sangam, director Raj Kapoor’s first Technicolor film, is a 1964 Bollywood classic starring Raj Kapoor, Vyjayanthimala and Rajendra Kumar. A hit film and lauded as a classic, it centres around the love two men share for the same woman, and the conflict and complications that arise from this. The film has been remade in Telugu and Kannada as Swapna.
