CHARITY AUCTION IN SUPPORT OF COMMUNITY AGAINST DRUNKEN DRIVING (9 APRIL 2024)

For over twenty years, the Community Against Drunken Driving (CADD) has been at the forefront of the battle for greater cognizance of the drunk driving problem. Road accidents are the cause of the most deaths in India after Cancer and Tuberculosis. Founded by activist Prince Singhal in 2001, CADD has initiated many public campaigns against drunk driving, like the “Don’t Drink and Drive” movement, reaching out to thirty crore people across twenty-five states. Their campaigns, aimed variously at parents, schoolteachers, truck drivers, bar and pub proprietors, and educational institutions, act toward a comprehensive solution to the issue. CADD’s push for legislative interventions has yielded many successful results including an amendment to the Motor Vehicle Act to raise the fine for drunk driving and the inclusion of warnings against drunk driving on bottled liquor labels.

Choose from a curated collection of modern and contemporary works by renowned artists like Jamini Roy, H A Gade, K S Kulkarni, V S Gaitonde, Jagdish Swaminathan, Paramjit Singh, Ganesh Haloi, Manu Parekh, Manjit Bawa, Thota Vaikuntam, and Jayasri Burman.

Part of the proceeds of this auction will go to the Community Against Drunken Driving.

Please note that all Lots from this sale will be invoiced and shipped from Delhi, bidders are therefore advised to check the additional shipping and handling charges prior to placing their bids.

How to Bid

Step 1: Register/Login
If you have bid in previous auctions, you can use your pre-existing Saffronart or StoryLTD login ID. If you are new to StoryLTD/Saffronart, register for a new StoryLTD Login ID.
Step 2: Verify Your Details to Get Approval
After you have registered and when the auction catalogue is available online, verify your details and get approved to bid in the auction. This must be done before every auction, even if you already have a Saffronart or StoryLTD login ID. For the StoryLTD Times Art Fest Online Auction, verify your contact, billing and shipping addresses and accept our Terms & Conditions.
Step 3: Get Confirmed for Bidding Access
Get bidding access by verifying your credit card online. Your credit card will not be charged: it will be authorised through a small deposit which, once authorised, will be immediately invalidated. All charges will occur post auction.
Select a per lot bidding value based on the lots that you would like to bid on. Should you wish to speak to someone and acquire approval over the phone, please call StoryLTD. Bidding access will be granted at the discretion of StoryLTD. This is done in order to avoid frivolous bidding and maintain the sanctity of the auction.
Step 4: Begin Bidding
Once bidding access has been granted, you can proceed to bid by clicking on the “Bid Now” button next to each lot in the online catalogue.
Step 5: Payment and Shipping of Lots
Successful bidders will be emailed invoices against their purchases, which will include the final bid price, the Buyer’s Premium and applicable shipping charges and taxes. Upon receiving the payment in full and on completion of the necessary formalities, the lots will be shipped to the winning bidder at the address mentioned on the invoice.
