What is the meaning of Luxury?

Latin : 'Luxus' : Excess, Extravagance, Debauchery.

Middle English : 'Luxurie' : Lechery

Some answers emerge in it's Etymology. It originates from middle english: 'luxuries': lechery and latin: 'luxus': excess, extravagance and debauchery. Its surprisingly refreshing to know that Luxury has more to do with lechery, debauchery and sexual intercourse than only the deplorable excess of money, which usually tends to reinforce stereotypes and cement cliches of this amazing word in highly unimaginative ways.

The installation is called 'Des Bauch'.
