About Camlin Paints for Ganga

In an effort to raise environmental awareness, art manufacturers Kokuyo Camlin Limited invited over a 100 artists to create art based on the theme of 'Ganga" - for an event that coincided with World Rivers Day on 27 September 2015 - in Varanasi.

The paintings in this collection depict diverse interpretations of India's sacred river in the abstract and figurative, with several works personifying Ganga as a goddess. One of the main objectives of this event was to highlight the importance of this vital natural resource and create consciousness about its pollution and rapid depletion. In accordance, Koyuku Camlin will donate total proceeds from the sale of these paintings to a charitable organisation associated with the Clean Ganga project.
