Description

After Technicolor, the colouring process invented in the early twentieth century from the eponymously named company, came to India in 1957, K. Asif wished to re-shoot the entire film in colour. This was not possible after distributors refused, owning to time constraints. Forty-four years after the film was released, the monumental task of colouring it was taken up. In the monochrome of lifeless sculptures, these two characters draw the viewer's attention.
